Saints in seventh heaven

ST Louis Grammar School under-12 completed an impressive season in spectacular fashion recently.

The Cullybackey Road boys clinched the Mid-Antrim under-12 cup with a stunning 7-1 win over St Killian's Garron Tower in the final.

John Sexton's side had a dream start, racing three goals clear inside the opening six minutes with goals from Connell Lemon, an own goal and skipper Ciaran Dobbin.

They had stretched that advantage to 5-0 by the interval with further goals from Kealan Molloy and Lemon.

Despite a gutsy second half display from St Killian's, St Louis made it 7-0, with Lemon completing his hat-trick and a second goal from Dobbin, before the St Killian's pulled a consolation goal back.

The silverware was a decent consolation for St Louis, who had been beaten 2-1 by Model in the semi-final of the Northern Ireland Cup recently.
