Saturday Morning League gets underway
THE Tower Blinds Ballymena Saturday Morning League kicked off on Saturday with defending champions Carniny Rangers in typical goalscoring form.
They rattled five past newly-promoted Westend Athletic but there was a surprise for another of the strongly fancied title contenders All Saints Old Boys, who lost at Randalstown Sky Blues.
Last season’s runners-up Harryville Homers’ match with Clough Rangers was abandoned due to an unsavoury incident which will give league chiefs an early season headache.
