Second league defeat on the spin for Comrades

Ballyclare Comrades suffered their second league defeat on the spin as they went down 4-1 at Donegal Celtic.

Samuel McIlveen scored the Reds’ only goal of the game six minutes from time, but it proved to be mere consolation. The Wee Hoops were already three goals to the good when McIlveen scored and they added a fourth two minutes later to wrap up the three points.

DC’s goalscorers were Anto McGonnell, Patrick Kelly, Denver Taggart and Ryan Dunlop.

The two sides meet again at Suffolk Road next weekend in round four of the Irish Cup.
