Morrison leaves City
DERRY City manager Declan Devine has confirmed that Owen Morrison has left the club.
Although Devine would not confirm the reasons Morrison is leaving the Brandywell, the midfielder, who stormed off after being substituted during Friday night’s defeat to UCD, is thought not to have turned up to training on Monday and this led to the manager’s decision to let the ex-Sheffield Wednesday starlet leave the club.
“Owen Morrison has left the club and I would like to thank him for his efforts, which he has put in this year, but he has left the club now,” declared the Derry gaffer.
