Irish Junior Cup

Sion Swifts v Crumlin Star

The home side must now be fancying themselves to go all the way. They have knocked out some fancied sides to get this far and with a home draw expectations will be high, they play some lovely attacking football.

The visitors are having a tremendous season they are currently top of Division 2A of the Amateur League and they won their first seven games scoring thirty goals so they will travel with confidence, this may go to extra time.

Prediction: Sion Swifts.

Maghera Strollers v Foyle Wanderers

It is unfortunate that both local sides drew each other, the Strollers are getting some excellent results since the Christmas break, they have been nearly at full strength recently and that has made a big difference.

Wanderers under the guidance of Wayne Glenn have done exceptionally well to get this far and they won't be overawed by this challenge they to have a settled side with some quality players.

Prediction: Maghera Strollers.

Premier Division

BBOB v Claudy Rovers

This is an important game for both clubs as they are in the bottom half of the table and could still be relegated. Don Olphert will be glad to see the back of this season as the Old Boys just haven't performed.

Rovers got a welcome win in the Junior cup last week but they still conceded three goals, there should be goals in this one with a draw the likely outcome.

Prediction: Score Draw.

Burndennett v Draperstown Reserves

The Tyrone men put up a good show before losing to leaders Newtowne last Saturday, they are in a safe position in the table but manager John McDaid will still be looking for a top four finish.

The visitors are one of the favourites to go down they lost again last week and their confidence is at an all time low.

Prediction: Burndennett.

Drummond v Lincoln Courts

The Roesiders have had to many draws this season when they should have collected all three points. They are in mid table but have no chance of catching the leaders however they will be up for this one.

The Courts must win all their games if they are to catch Newtowne with the leaders without a game this is their chance to close the gap their cause is greater than the home side.

Prediction: Lincoln Courts.

Greysteel v Roe Rovers

This has been a season of learning for the home side and they have coped well, they have a mostly all local side which should see them do even better in coming seasons, they are well organised on and off the field.

Rovers had an important victory last week and they will now want to build on that, they have been overshadowed in recent seasons by neighbours Newtowne's success but that may well change in the future.

Prediction: Score Draw.
