Sion shock Courts

IN the City Cup, there was one tie called off and two shocks in the other ties.

Maghera Strollers tie against Claudy Rovers was called off and Lincoln Courts lost 3-1 to Sion thanks to a Shane Breslin brace and one from Noel Mullen. Nutt replied for below par Lincoln.

BBOB defeated Greysteel 4-2 with a Alan Duddy hat-trick and Chris Long goal cancelled out Harkin and O’Connor goals. Only two Premier Division games saw Drummond defeat Burndennett 2-1 thanks to a Sean Boyd double, while Micky Houston netted for Burndennett.

Newbuildings United edged the other game 3-2 with Hay, Kelly and Beattie goals cancelling out Colts strikes by Eoghan Moore and Columb Donaghy.

In the First Division, Ardmore and Ballykelly met again and shared the spoils 2-2. Breffni King with two for Ballykelly and Phillip Deehan and Carl O’Kane for Ardmore.

Tullyally Colts stay fourth after a 2-1 win over Eglinton. Burnfoot also won 2-1 with Jason Scott and Vinny McDaid on target and Colin McSparron for United. Donemana won at home to Draperstown. Adrian McGuigan again for Draperstown and Steven Manning was also scored but Ash Buchannan netted twice and Lee Gibson and Jason Milligan goals made in 4-2.

The Second Division leaders Roe Rovers Reserves weren’t in action but stay top. Churchill kept up their push though and are only two points behind after defeating Glendemott 3-1 for whom Kyle Ross scored.

Donemana Reserves are level with Churchill after a 2-1 win over BBOB Reserves. Stephen Hetherington and Dean Milligan goals cancelling a Jordan Thompson finish for BB.

Irish Street, the favourites rescued a point after going two down at Limavady Rugby Reserves. Dan O’Brien and Darren McLaughlin gave Rugby a lead. Wood and an over-head kick from Mark McKittrick rescued the point. In the final game Barry McGonigle scored twice, a 2-0 win for Dungiven Thirds over Artigarvan.
