Boss Kieran McCourt was pleased to be able to call upon leading marksman Stephen McArdle and influential winger Paul Walsh who had to settle for a place on the bench.

YCOB’s plans were upset when Drainey was injured in the warm up and had to withdraw. This seemed to put a spanner in the team tactics as it was Damolly who started the brightest and only for an outstanding save from O’Hagan would have went one up inside five minutes.

With only ten minutes on the clock, centre forward Paddy Burns rolled back the years when he was put through on goal and coolly slotted home to make it 1-0.

Damolly pushed for the equaliser and when they finally did beat the impressive O’Hagan, Seany McAlinden was on hand to make a goal-line clearance. From the same passage of play, YCOB got their second goal when Moses got his first of the season.

Devlin was next to get his first of the season when he rose highest from corner to make it three at half-time.

The returning McArdle ended the game as a contest when he smashed home from close range after the restart.

Burns and McArdle made way for Mucker McGrath and Paul Walsh and both players had a part to play in the next two goals with Mucker setting up McKay for number five. It was Walsh himself who scored the last and maybe the best of the day when he curled the ball into the top corner from just outside the box.

McCourt and his trusted amigos were happy with the clean sheet and their six different scorers,
