Slane’s sorry run goes on after a good display doesn’t yield a result to match

Moneyslane have now lost three of their last four matches, leaving manager David Johnstone a frustrated figure.

He watched his side dominate Saturday’s game in Dungannon but still emerge with no rewards for their endeavours.

“I have contrasting emotions after the game,” he said.

“We asked the players to concentrate on a good performance and to be fair we played really well, totally controlled the game from start to finish and played some excellent football.

“I could not have asked more from our players today in terms of effort.

“Yet on the other hand, we were beaten and that makes me angry and its so frustrating to watch so many clear-cut chances be squandered.

“Our results are not good enough at present and both Darragh and I along with the players are well aware of that.

Next up for Slane is a home game against Broomhedge in the league on Saturday.
