They may not have caused an Irish Cup upset, but it was a special day for all involved with Portstewart FC on Saturday.
They welcomed Premiership big boys Portadown to Seahaven, and the local boys did themselves proud putting in a battling display against Ronnie McFaul’s men.
Hundreds turned out to support Gary Taylor’s side, but second half strikes by Gary Twigg and Darren Murray secured the Premiership side’s passage into the quarter finals, but they were made to work all the way by Gary Taylor’s battlers.
