SML round-up: Carniny win in first league outing since November!

CARNINY Rangers began their attempt to reel in a sixth consecutive Tower Blinds Ballymena Saturday Morning League title on Saturday.

Carniny began their pursuit of runaway leaders All Saints Old Boys with a 6-0 win over Glenarm Rovers – their first league game since early November!

Robert Young’s men have enjoyed extended runs in both the Junior Cup and Junior Shield which has severely curtailed their league campaign and they will face a gruelling schedule of midweek games once the clocks change.

They are currently 19 points adrift of All Saints but have eight games in hand.

All Saints continue to set a blistering pace at the top by beating Clough Rangers, while Harryville Homers won 4-0 at Ballykeel - a morale-boosting result ahead of their forthcoming Junior Shield semi-final.
