SML round-up: Saints march on to huge lead in Division One

ALL Saints Old Boys further underlined their credentials in their bid to end Carniny Rangers’ domination of the Tower Blinds Ballymena Saturday Morning League at the weekend.

Saints beat Harryville Homers – for so many years the other half of the ‘Big Two’ along with Carniny – to almost certainly end Homers’ chances of winning the title.

All Saints are now a staggering ahead 19 points ahead of Carniny and even allowing for the fact that Robert Young’s side have an amazing eight games in hand – their Junior Cup and Junior Shield expolits this season have restricted Carniny to just nine league games played – they will have to win virtually all of those to catch All Saints, who have been the success story of this season.
