SML season kicks off on Monday

THE big kick-off in the Ballymena Saturday Morning Football League starts next Monday, August 2, with Round One of the Arkmedia-sponsored O'Kane Cup with Round Two taking place on Saturday, August 7.

Division Two starts on Wednesday while Division One kick off the next night.

There will be a preview of all three divisions in next week's paper.

Two new teams kick off in Division Three. The new teams are Galgorm FC and Cushendall FC who were both accepted by the BSML Council.

Galgorm FC will play their home matches at Galgorm while Cushendall FC will play their home matches at Garron Tower Carnlough.

The opening fixtures are as follows:

Monday, August 2 (7pm) - Arkmedia O'Kane Cup round one: Steadfast v Westend Athletic (Galgorm); Ahoghill Thistle v St Comgalls (Ahoghill); Lisnafillan Swifts v Dunloy Athletic (Portglenone); Woodside v Braid United (Wakehurst 4).

Tuesday, August 3 (7pm) - Arkmedia O'Kane Cup, round one: Carnlough Swifts v Abbeyview; Clough Rangers v Galgorn FC (Clough); Riverdale v Broadway Celtic (Wakehurst 2); Randalstown Sky Blues v Harryville Homers; FC Moylena v Shore Wanderers (Forum).
