“We are delighted to have brought Matthew in, he is a player we have been interested in for a while,” said Kearney on Friday.

“I tried to get him in the summer but the Crues didn’t want to let him go without getting a replacement in.

“They have now added Barry Molloy to their squad so it has given Matthew the opportunity to come here.

“He’s exactly the type of player we are looking for.

“He’s young, hungry, has ability and legs to get up and down the park. Matthew will prove to be a great addition to our squad and I’m delighted to have completed the deal so early in the window.”

Coleraine hope to have Snoddy available for Saturday’s trip to Windsor Park to face league leaders Linfield.

Kearney also revealed he has several other targets which he is pursuing.

“We have a couple of other targets but it’s a case of wait and see as it all depends on their clubs,” said Kearney.
