N. Ireland boss, O’Neill stressed the importance of the summer schools in the development of local talent in the region. “We are always looking to develop the stars of the future, and there is no better way to get started than at an IFA Summer Soccer School,” he said.

“Our Soccer Schools are specifically designed to get the best out of all players through age appropriate, developmental, fun coaching practices”

Local Grassroots Football Development Officer for Derry and Strabane, Kevin Doherty, is hopeful of another successful camp.

“These IFA Soccer Schools have been extremely popular in recent years,” said Doherty. “Boys and girls from all over the North-West who attended have been able to learn new skills, meet new friends and receive a new football and Nutty Krust goodie bag. I look forward to having another successful summer programme where all the children attending have been given a sound introduction to the beautiful game.”
