Southside edged out in 'derby'

SOUTHSIDE Youths met Northend in the first local derby of the season at the Showgrounds on Saturday and it was the visitors who came away with a 1-0 victory.

Southside never got going all day and were camped in their own half for the first twenty minutes during which time Northend scored the only goal of the game.

Southside had plenty of the ball but didn't really put the Northend goalkeeper and defence under much pressure.

It was just one of those days for Southside who have a game this weekend away to Upper Ardoyne to put this result behind them.

Kick off this Saturday is 10.30 and the game is being played at Ballysillan.
