The Drumahoe club have drawn seven of their 15 league games and Kee wants that run to end sooner rather than later.

In-form Larne visit the Riverside Stadium this Saturday (KO 3pm) and the ’Stute gaffer is expecting a tough encounter against a side who only a few weeks ago defeated them at Inver Park.

“It’s not impossible to still finish in the top two, but we are making it hard for ourselves,” stated Kee.

“If we had have won at Coagh at the weekend we would have been sitting a point behind Bangor, although granted they have a match in hand, but we have drawn to many matches, so the Coagh game was disappointing.”

Prior to their visit to Hagan Park, Kee was looking for six points from their next two games, unfortunately that plan hasn’t worked out, but he’s expecting a big response this weekend.

“We have to win, but at the end of the day the Championship One table is in a certain shape at the minute. There has been that many twist and turns you don’t know what’s going to happen.

“Obviously winning is important, but the next big result is making sure you don’t get beaten but if I’m to be honest you need points on the board, but in saying all that we need to go for it more often.

“At this stage of the season it’s all about momentum and I want to see if the players can keep our momentum going. They are going to have to be strong and they are going to have to have a positive up and get at them attitude and if they don’t then they are no good to us.”

Just before Christmas the Waterside men lost to David McAlinden’s side and Kee is hopeful his players will have that result firmly fixed in their mind at training this week.

“Any team we play at home will be up for it but we have to win as many home games as we can,” conceded Kee.

“When we are playing the Larne’s, the Dundela’s and Knockbreda’s at home we have to win the match, it’s as simple as that, they are the teams in amongst us so being at home we have to win those games.

“The players know what type of team Larne are all about as they beat us a few weeks ago at their place.”

The Drumahoe man should have Darren McFadden back from injury and he admits a few changes could happen following their draw with Coagh United.

“It will be an interesting team selection for this Saturday because there might be a possibility of making a few changes, I’ll wait and see at training this week.

“Hopefully Darren will be back, but he’s complaining about a knock on his calf.

“I might bring players in but I’m not going to do that just for the sake of it, it has to be right for the team, because we have got a good squad of players.”
