Six teams from Star United, Antrim Rovers, Ballymena Utd Youth Academy and Carniny Youth took part in this small-sided games initiative involving over 70 children from throughout the Borough.

A large support of parents, family and friends also attended the 3g venue at Ballymena Showgrounds which has proven to be a very suitable ‘home’ for the League since its move at the beginning of the year.

Local sponsor and McDonalds restaurant manager Karl Black was in attendance and not only helped league Chairman Arthur McClean with the presentation but provided fruit juice drinks for the children taking part.

At the close of proceedings the league secretary, Billy O’Flaherty thanked more than 50 teams (500 children) who competed in the six age groups, the supportive parents/friends and the respective team coaches.

Special thanks were also relayed to the staff at Ballymena Showgrounds and league fixture secretary, Sandra Christie who ensured the smooth running of the project each week.
