IN front of the watching first team manager John Gregg, Institute Under 15's produced a fantastic second half performance to come from two goals down to beat Coleraine 6-2 on Saturday.

Striker Aaron Tarr is the man making the headlines with four goals but every player deserves credit for their second half showing.

The home team started slowly and Coleraine had most of the early possession, and deservedly opened the scoring on 18 minutes when a mix up at the back allowed the visiting striker to slam home from 12 yards out.

That lead was doubled less than a minute later and at that stage the game looked over as a contest as the home team just could not get themselves into any sort of rhythm.

However Institute began to rally and deservedly pulled a goal back two minutes from the break when Tarr got his first of the afternoon. That goal sparked Stute into life and half time substitute Matthew Pierce brought the scores level early in the second half with a super half volley ghosting in from the left.

At that stage 'Stute were in the ascendancy with the back four solid and central midfielders Nicky Morton and Sam Wisener starting to dictate the pace of the game.

The home team, now brimming with confidence deservedly took the lead with the goal of the match on 46 minutes.

An unbelievable run by left back Jordan Greer saw him beat two Coleraine challenges before producing a super cross from the by line for Tarr who caught the volley perfectly to slam home.

Soon after Tarr got his hat-trick to make it four, and that was closely followed by a well deserved goal by his hard working strike partner Lee Olphert whose great first touch and spin allowed him the space inside the box to clinically finish, giving the Bannsiders' keeper no chance.

The young 'Stute team finished off a fantastic performance three minutes from time when a superb through ball by Pierce eluded three Coleraine defenders to fall at Tarr's feet, he made no mistake again to take his tally to seven goals in two games.

That resounding result keeps Institute Under 15's within three points of leaders Moyola at the top of the table with eight games remaining.
