Teatime League proves a fantastic success

THE new ‘Teatime League’ initiative by Carniny Amateur & Youth FC of small sided games on the 3g pitch at Ballymena Showgrounds got off to a flyer on Friday night with eight invited teams taking park in nine a side mini soccer games in a league basis guaranteeing competing teams three games each night.

Carniny wish to thank their friends from Star United, Ballymena United Youth Academy, Coaching for Christ, Chimney Corner and Ballymoney United for taking up the invite and look forward to meeting up with the same teams again this Friday night at 6pm at the Showgrounds base.

A large crowd of parents supported the event with the gate receipts helping reduce the expenses for competing teams and covering the general running costs.

The club also wishes to thank Wes Gregg of the Irish Football Association for his support and advice with the competition.
