Tech team has a lot more to give: Adair

New Larne Tech boss Stephen Adair says his side have a lot more to give as they bid to pull themselves away from the dropzone in the Amateur League’s top flight.

In an interview in this week’s Larne Times, Adair explains why he re-considered his decision to quit earlier this month alongside then joint-boss Stuart Pike.

Now flying solo in the Dennis Harvey Park hot seat, he is hoping he can be the man who turns their fortunes around following a poor start to the season. The club now finds itself in the lower reaches of the Premier Division after the jubilant high of promotion from 1A last season.

“We know the situation we’re in, and we’re determined to get out of it,” he said. “Everyone wants to see the club do well, the structure of the club is first class, but maybe at times, too many people are still living on last year, and we cannot afford to do that. We have to live now and in the future. Last year was great but it’s no use if we go straight back down again.

“There are a lot of positives and some negatives that need worked on - but I feel there are still plenty of miles left in this team yet.
