Three in a row for Under 15's

INSTITUTE Under 15s made it three wins from three and cemented second place in the North West and Coleraine District Youth League on Saturday with a comprehensive 7-1 victory over Donemana at the Riverside Stadium.

The home side got off to the perfect start after only two minutes when an Aaron Tarr corner fell to Reuben Hollywood and the centre back made no mistake smashing the ball home from 10 yards.

That lead was doubled in the 15th minute with the goal of the game when John Kyle's super cross from the right was met on the volley by Scott Hynds whose first time shot rifled into the back of the net giving the visiting keeper no chance.

Within 60 seconds it was three when great work by Aaron Tarr saw him make a super run before playing the ball to strike partner Lee Olphert.

From the edge of the box, the Foyle College student made no mistake side footing past the outreached hand of the Donemana shot stopper.

In the first minute of the second half, Institute made it 4-0 when a corner from Kyle on the left fell perfectly to Nicky Morton who finished well in a packed penalty area. Three minutes later and another corner outdone the visitors, this time centre back Andrew Callen getting the decisive touch after a scramble in the box.

The young 'Stute side were unrelenting and made it six on 44 minutes when a set piece involving John Kyle and half time substitute Matthew Pierce, saw the later produce a super cross which was unluckily diverted into his own net by a Donemana defender and the home scoring was completed two minutes later when brilliant play by Nicky Morton, saw him thread a super ball through to Lee Olphert who converted his second of the day to round of a comprehensive victory for the home side before Donemana scored a consolation goal with three minutes to spare.

The result moves Institute to within three points of leaders Moyola at the top of the table with seven matches remaining.
