Thrilling game as United are crowned League Champions

Ballymoney United boss Peter Cairns said he was '˜thrilled' for his players after they won the Intermediate League after a 3-3 draw with Trojans on Saturday.

“I am so delighted for the players and everyone involved with the Club,” he said.

The celebrations went long into the night, but Saturday’s league win came down to the final kick of the game. “It’s a tight league,” said Cairns. “We didn’t start the season well, but for everything to come down to the last match of the season, and for the players put on a great display, it just makes it all worth while,” said Cairns.
