Stephen Tierney only scored two of Warren YM’s ten goals in the rout of Belvoir FC in the Premier Division of the South Antrim League, but he had a hand in six of the goals and continually terrorised the Belvoir defence.

Tierney, who was only signed from Ballymacash YM in the previous days, set up Neil Donaghy for the first goal and ten minutes later provided Craig McCutcheon with the second.

Seven minutes into the second-half Tierney won the penalty which Reza Davies scored and Davies got his own second thanks to McCutcheon.

Chris Hull set up Tierney for his first goal and Davies was the provider when Tierney made it 8-0 and TJ Dickson made it nine.

Tierney missed the chance of a hat-trick before Davies got his own third and Warren’s tenth goal.

Afterwards, Warren manager, Johnny McMullan, was obviously delighted with the performance, particularly as they were missing several players and thy normally have a hard, physical game with Belvoir. One of those missing was Ryan Graham, who was rushed to hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning and everyone wishes him well.

There were several bookings in this game.

Next week’s featured match will be the remaining Ironside Cup quarter final, Ballymacash YM III v Ballymacash YM II at Ballymacoss.
