Tobermore travelled the short distance to Cookstown for their final game of the season against local rivals Killymoon Rangers.

Rangers knew to have any chance of survival in Championship 2 they had to win this game and hope that Sport and Leisure, their closest rivals in the relegation battle, lost at home to Chimney corner.

Unfortunately for Rangers, Sport beat the Corner so the outcome of this game became irrelevant.

This was always going to be a tough game for the home side and when Colin Donaldson put Tobermore ahead with a back post tap in on 15 minutes it could have got worse.

However Rangers weren’t going down without a fight and after some sustained pressure Brownlee equalized with 31 minutes gone.

Trevor Parkhill put Tobermore back in front just before the halftime break and Dean Stewart added a third on 70 minutes.

Again the home side got back into the game with a fine strike by Hunter but two late strikes by Parkhill gave him his hat trick and Tobermore all three points.

A good end to a disappointing 2013/14 season for Tobermore but manager Adrian Whiteside is determined to have a much improved 2014/15 season and will be starting his pre-season preparation early.

The club would like to thank our supporters, sponsors and anyone else who helped, for their support throughout the season and we look forward to seeing you all again soon.

No firm dates have been agreed for pre-season friendlies but as soon as they are we will publish them on our website. www.tobermoreunitedfc.co.uk.
