RANGERS AWAY TO `POINT IN QUARTER FIANL BOB RADCLIFFE CUP - Rathfriland Rangers this Saturday travel to neighbours Warrenpoint Town in the quarter final of the Bob Radcliffe Cup.

After the recent Newry City issue, Rathfriland now lock horns with the Championship club who have rose to stardom in recent seasons. There is a lot of interest around this fixture with the `Point disposing of much fancied Coagh Utd in the previous round. All roads lead to Warrenpoint on Saturday. Kick off 2.30pm.

SWIFTS IN DERBY FIXTURE - Rathfriland Swifts this Saturday travel to Banbridge Rangers Reserves in a derby league fixture at Cheney Park. With the two teams sitting side by side in the league, this will be a hard one to call but the Swifts unbeaten so far will be confident of taking the points. Kick off 3pm.

SWIFTS RESERVES HOME TO DAMOLLY - Rathfriland Swifts Reserves this Saturday will host Damolly at Iveagh Park. The Swifts Reserves are currently top of the table and having already defeated Damolly this season will look forward to getting another three points on home soil. Kick off 2.15pm.

COLTS HOME TO MONEYSLANE
Rathfriland Colts will host Moneyslane in a derby fixture at Ingram Park. 
The Colts, who had a great away point last Saturday, have been playing well with a lot of young players and are enjoying the experience of these fixtures. Kick off 2pm.

COMMITTEE MEETING - The October committee meeting will take place at the clubrooms Tuesday 16th October at 7pm. Please note the new earlier start time.

RATHFRILAND FC YOUTH WINTER TRAINING - The youth team's training will move to Rathfriland Leisure Center from this week as follows:

U8 - Tuesday - 6-7pm; U9 - Monday - 7-8pm; U10 - Tuedsay - 7-8pm; U11 - Monday   - 7-8pm; U12 - Wednesday - 7-8pm; U13 - Wednesday - 7-8pm; U15 - Tuesday - 8-9pm 

All new players will be welcome.

BIG MAC - Well done to young Mark McDonald who now holds the mantle of the youngest captain for a senior Rathfriland team. The 15 year old took the armband on Saturday and led his team to a fantastic away draw at Ballynahinch. Well done Mark.

BROTHERS IN ARMS! - This Saturday sees the Adair brothers come face to face in the quarter final of the Bob Radcliffe Cup. Rathfriland`s Brian Adair locks horn with his brother Neil who is coach of Warrenpoint Town. No matter what happens it will be brothers in arms at the end of the match.

CLUB STEAK BBQ - A big thankyou to all who attended the club BBQ on Saturday past. A large crowd was in attendance and everyone enjoyed a great nights craic. A big thankyou to all those on club duty especially Gary Wilson who also organized the event.

MC HAMMER! - What about Bobby McDowell who decided to take down a house without the use of any agricultural machinery! McDowell took to the stonework with a sledge hammer – in fact he went through two of them before he got the job done!
