Tough assignment for Wellington Rec

THERE’S a tough assignment in the Amateur League’s Premier Division for Wellington Rec this weekend with an away trip to Malachians, who were 4-0 winners on the Millbrook side’s last visit in the final match of last season.

Meanwhile, Stephen Donald’s Islandmagee face a trip to Dunmurry Rec, who will be brimming with confidence after they forced a draw against Linfield at Windsor in the JJB Sport Irish Cup at the weekend.

Island will be hoping for an improved performance on their 3-3 draw with Kilmore Rec, when Andy Waide had to ride to the rescue with a second-half hat-trick to claim a point.
