That’s according to manager Ryan Watson, who has yet to see his side win a league game this season. They’ve lifted just one point from four matches and travel to Coagh on Saturday (kick-off 3pm) looking to put the fizz into their season.

“We’re keen to get our league season up and running and we’re desperate to get three points this Saturday,” said Watson.

“It’s a massive game for us but we’ll go down there with a lot of confidence now after Saturday’s win. That game was all about starting to pikc up some momentum and hopefully we can build on that now. If we can do that, we will push on.”

Town will be without Kevin Anderson but Conor Downey will again be available for selection.

Watson was pleased with his side’s efforts during the victory over Moneyslane.

“We played fairly well,” he said.

“We created some good chances and were well worth our lead at the break. It was nice even to go in with the lead as that’s something we haven’t done too often lately.

“We played some good football. Fair play to Moneyslane for getting their equaliser but we upped our game again and managed to close the game out.

“It was a good cup tie and a good atmosphere. Moneyslane did themselves no harm at all. They did well and the likes of Johnny Kernaghan, Stevie Coulter and Darragh Peden stood out.”

The boss was also pleased to see his newest signing in action between the sticks.

“Tuda did well,” he said. It’s his first competitive game for a while so it took him a few minutes to get comfortable but he looked very assured and confident after that.

“It’s a good boost to have competition in there, as we do everywhere else on the pitch. We have a good squad now and that’s slowly but surely getting stronger as players come back from injury.”
