Bann had looked to have turned their season around, unbeaten throughout January but since then, it has been a return to disappointing results as they’ve picked up just one point from their last five league outings.

It is the inconsistency that will be frustrating boss Ryan Watson, with that point coming from a very credible 0-0 draw against league leaders Lurgan Celtic.

Culminating in a 3-0 defeat at Dollingstown on Saturday, the run has left Town back in 12th place in the league table.

Although their brief upturn has left them nine points clear of the relegation spots, Town will want to make sure they get back to winning ways sooner rather than later. Their next chance to do that is on a trip to face Tobermore United on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Town’s hosts are just two places and five points ahead of their opponents .

Town will see the game as an opportunity to lift themsellves further away from the dreaded relegation spots but they take on a Tobermore side who have lost only two of their last ten league outings. That form continued last weekend as they dispatched Wakehurst easily with a 2-0 home win.

It’s all a far cry from their display at Crystal Park back in September as Town ran out routine 4-1 victors that day.

Town have eight games left in Championship Two and will hope to have a strong finish in order to ensure their long-term future in what will be a restructured version of the league in the coming season.

On Saturday, the Banbridge Town Supporters Club Bus will leave the Clubhouse at 12.45 p.m.

Please contact Dan Buchanan or Terry Sweeney if you wish to travel.
