Town will benefit from new defibrillator

The recent cardiac arrest of Bolton Wanderer’s Muamba shows that young, fit people can have ‘heart attacks’.

Even before this, however, Lurgan Town Boys FC had been educating their coaching staff in first aid and CPR.

With over 370 young boys at the club and the growing ladies section the club have safety as the top priority.

Now, through the generosity of Dawson Engineering Ltd (www.dawsonme.com), Lurgan Town now have a defibrillator similar to the device that saved Muamba’s life.

It is hoped that this defibrillator will never be needed, but its presence will improve the survival chances of anyone suffering a cardiac arrest at the Lurgan Town Arena.
