Trophies brought to club

Last Saturday, November 15, was a date to remember for the hundreds who turned up to the Hillsborough Boys Junior Football Club football factory, when the Premier League trophy and Carling Cup was presented to Hillsborough boys and the Lisburn Branch of Manchester City Supporters Club.

The event was kindly organised through Micky McFarlane and Mark Lindsey for the trophies to be on display at the Hillsborough Boys head quarters on the Moira Road.

This gave their members an opportunity of a once in a lifetime photo shoot with both trophies.

Many teams turned up sporting either Hillsborough’s home or away kits and got their photos taken with their coaches.

Not only were trophies on show, past Manchester City players were present talking to the players, coaches and families some great names such as Tommy Boothe, Joe Corrigan and Alec Williams were passing on their wealth of knowledge to the Hillsborough family. This certainly was a day to remember for all involved.

If you would like to see some of the photos then you are in luck as they will be made into a calender for 2015 with proceeds going to the Valencia Trip or alternatively check out the Hillsborough boys Facebook page.
