Hide AdDollingstown came into the game after this goal and striker Richard Thompson was put through for a one on one but over hit his first touch and keeper made an easy save.
Carrick were awarded a penalty just on the half time whistle which seem very harsh and the centre forward got up and made it 2-0.
The second half started with Carrick taking control of the tie and they went further ahead with a third goal from Ben Roy.
This seemed to spark Dollingstown into action and they should have had a penalty when the Carrick keeper took out Adam Walker, but the referee thought differently.

Hide AdDollingstown kept up the pressure and started to win the midfield battle with Andy Hamilton and Brian Adair getting the upper hand. This resulted in Jordan Gibson pulling a goal back when he was put through.
Dollingstown made changes and pushed three up front and this paid off with a goal from Richard Thompson making it 3-2, but it was too late to continue the revival and Carrick go through. This week Dollingstown return to the league with a home match against Queens.
