Official cash-only offers have come in from the two clubs and now Portadown directors will review the terms.

“We can confirm that two offers sit on the table at present,” said Portadown chairman Roy McMahon. “As it stands, we are in negotiations and will remain so until the best deal is reached in the interests of Portadown Football Club.”

Ports manager Ronnie McFall has Murray marked down for his squad to visit Ballinamallard United on Friday night and is adamant he will continue to select the striker until any transfer is finalised.

“The chairman is handling Darren’s transfer situation but, as manager, I will have no problem picking the player and everything is normal on that front,” said McFall. “There is nothing concluded at this point and I would think he is going to be part of the squad for the Ballinamallard match.”

McFall has confirmed that Murray is the only player on the transfer list at present and it is understood no-one else would be allowed to leave in the January window.

Club officials have refused to comment on speculation linking Gary Twigg, Michael Gault and Chris Casement with moves away from Shamrock Park.
