U10s defeated in first league outing

DROMORE travelled to Belfast for the first time in the George Best League to play against Crusaders.

The first half was very even but eventful. It was Crusaders who scored first with a shot from close range.

Adam Jennings for Dromore was causing all sorts of problems for the Crusaders team down the right and was brought down by the keeper in the box. Eddie Tucker scored the penalty high up into the top left of the net.

Crusaders got what ended up to be the winner, with a cross from the left and finished off with a nice shot from inside the box. As the first half was drawing to a close Eddie Tucker hit the crossbar with a sharp shot.

The second half was very competitive with both sides playing good football. The midfield of Euan, Matthew Magill, Joel and Adam working hard to try and get the equaliser. It nearly came from another free kick.

There was a scare at the end from a free kick but Josh Jennings claimed the ball well. Well done to Josh Jennings who won Dromore U10s player of the month.
