U13s come from behind twice to win

HAVING lost away to Lower Maze FC in midweek Banbridge U13s won their home game against Ballyclare at the weekend.

Playing against the wind in the first half and with the sun in their eyes, Town did well to contain a confident Comrades side, going in just 2-1 down at the interval.

An early Ballyclare goal was cancelled out by a Luke Diamond header from a corner. Both sides played an attractive passing game despite the tricky conditions. Town had the misfortune of going behind again, this time from a penalty, the keeper having been booked for a lunge.

The winning goal came shortly before the end, Aaron Thompson netting from close range after cutting in from the right.
