U13s go clear with a fine win

Rathfriland U13s 1

Banbridge Rangers U13s 4

Banbridge Rangers Under 13s took part in the first official game at the new 3G pitch at Rathfriland High School on Saturday morning and came away with all three points to move top of the league.

Banbridge Rangers started brightly and the opening goal arrived through a great strike from skipper Josh Crawford. After twenty minutes the Gers doubled their lead through Bailey Russell and on the stroke of half time Jordan McMullan finished well to make it 3-0. Rathfriland started the second have better and pulled a goal back within five minutes but midway through the half Rangers restored their three goal advantage with a flowing move involving Jack Arlow, Harry Patterson and Adam Loughlin being finished off by Luke Brown. The young Rangers team move clear at the top of the league but know that the teams on their heels have games in hand and will need another positive result this Saturday at Dromore to stay up there.
