INSTITUTE U15's went top of the North West and Coleraine District Youth League on Saturday with an emphatic 9-1 victory away to Dungiven.

Institute enjoyed a dream start and were two up in the opening five minutes, Aaron Tarr getting his first of the morning after super work by strike partner Lee Olphert, and a great Wisener through ball allowed Olphert to double the lead a minute later.

Dungiven pegged one back when a free kick played in by Kalean Clegg on the left was unluckily knocked into his own net by Reuben Hollywood. However within six minutes the two goal advantage was restored when a brilliant through ball by Nicky Morton was clinically finished by Tarr.

Soon after Tarr got his hat trick when a well placed low shot from distance eluded the outstretched Dungiven keeper and his fourth arrived minutes before half time to leave the score at 5-1 to the visitors at the break.

Five minutes into the second half and Stute increased their lead when winger John Kyle played a ball back to right back Gareth Connor 30 yards out. From his brilliant first time ball into the box, Jordan Greer was able to rise and score a fantastic header, giving the keeper no chance.

On 49 minutes the Drumahoe lads made it seven when Sam Wisener's shot was parried by the home keeper and the ever alert Tarr was on hand to pounce, making no mistake from close range.

Further goals followed when Tarr made it eight on 52 minutes with arguably the goal of the match, turning superbly on the edge of the box and firing an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net.

Nicky Morton rounded of a cultured personal performance deservedly concluding the scoring minutes later when a John Kyle corner was met by the midfielder with a thundering header into the top right hand corner of the net to seal a fantastic performance by Institute.

The result moves the Under 15s to the top of the North West and Coleraine District Youth League with seven games remaining.
