Any meeting between Carniny Youth sides and their Ballymena United Youth Academy counterparts always prompts plenty of interest.

But when there’s a place in the final of the most prestigious cup competition in youth football in this country - the NIBFA Cup - then it’s an even bigger occasion.

The sides meet on the new 3G pitch at Clough in tonight’s semi-final (6.30pm) - when the only guarantee is that there will be a Ballymena-based club in the showpiece final for the first time.
