DIVISION TWO

FINVOY 6

RED STAR 2

This was a good win for Finvoy but certainly not a good day for Red Star who had a man sent off during play and another sent off after he was substituted. Finvoy took the lead after Steve McClenaghan scored on the 20th minute and then doubled their lead when Calum McCooke converted a penalty on the 35th minute. Finvoy then went four goals clear with a brace of goals scored by Robert Patton on the 56th and 62nd minute. Red Star came back into the game with goals scored by Glenn Williams and Noel O’Connor on the 68th and 72nd minutes but Finvoy replied with Robert Patton converting his hat-trick from the penalty spot on the 78th minute and Ryan Pedan on the 84th minute. Referee Mr. Ian Getty

CARNLOUGH SWIFTS 0 WOODLANDS 0

No goals were scored by either team in the first forty five minutes on a very heavy pitch which had worsened as the game progressed. At half-time the referee decided that the conditions were dangerous for the players to play football on and called a halt to the proceedings with the agreement of both captains. Referee Mr. Jason Reaney
