United Youth Academy pre-season news

BALLYMENA United under age teams continued their pre season build up last Saturday with the under 10s playing Carniny at the Showgrounds and the under 11s hosting Ards at Wakehurst.

Further games will take place this week when the under 17s play Magherafelt Sky Blues on Thursday while the under 10s and 11s head to Portadown on Saturday.

Pre season training continues and from next week teams will train on the following evenings-

Under 10s 11s 12s - every Monday night at the Showgrounds.

Under 13s 14s - every Wednesday night at the Showgrounds

Under17s - every Monday night at Ballee and every Thursday at the Showgrounds.

This season the under 10s will play in the George Best Castlereagh Youth League while the remaining teams will compete in the Lisburn Invatational Youth League.

MINI SOCCER CENTRE

There are limited spaces available for the mini soccer centre which commences on Sat 4th of Sept at the Showgrounds sessions will be held throughout Sept and Oct while further sessions have been planned for 2011.

The Youth Academy offers its congratulations to former Youth Academy mini soccer coach Denver Gage, who made his senior debut for the club on Saturday when he played for the last 15 minutes against Linfield at Windsor Park .
