‘Varma still has big part to play in remaining games’ - admits Kee

The teenager who hasn’t put a foot wrong since forcing his way into Paul Kee’s side dropped down onto the bench and was replaced by Gary Henderson for the Larne game.

Kee did concede after Saturday’s match that the midfielder was unlucky to be left out of the starting eleven.

“Young Ryan has done very well for us and he was excellent against Coagh in our previous game before Larne, but I just felt against Larne that he didn’t merit playing,” said Kee.

“But he’s a top player and I know he will play his part in the run-in.

“We still have 10 league matches remaining and hopefully a few cup games and the entire squad, which includes Ryan will be needed if we want to achieve the targets we have set ourselves.”
