The Ballymena Saturday Morning league celebrated its 46th anniversary by holding its annual end of season awards function on Friday night.

Players, officials and supporters from the league’s teams gathered at Leighinmohr House Hotel to reflect on another hugely succesful season.

Guests included Councillor Timothy Gaston, Deputy Mayor of Mid and East Antrim Council, who praised the league for its contribution to the local community.

The silverware was again dominated by Harryville Homers, who not only won three of the league’s trophies but also retained the Irish Junior Cup, the Blue Riband event of junior football in this country.
