Carrick Rangers keeper Simon Steele says he is looking forward to this weekend’s friendly with Irish League champions Cliftonville.
The Gers travel to Solitude on Saturday afternoon to play the second game in their pre-season programme after Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Larne Tech Old Boys.
Fresh from their 3-0 Champions League defeat to Celtic, the Reds will prove tough opposition. But, as Steele told Times Sports Reporter John Gillespie, it’s a game he is relishing: “They will be expected to come out and try and impose themselves on us. All we can do is try to give as good as we get.”
