Vital game for Lurgan

LURGAN can take a step nearer to winning section one when Cliftonville visit Pollock Park this Saturday.

With a four point advantage at the top Lurgan complete their programme with two more home games against Woodvale and Donacloney and the re-arranged fixture against Dundrum which was called off last Saturday.

Meanwhile Lurgan Tigers’ tie against Bready in the Ulster Under-13 Championship final has just been confirmed for next Tuesday, August 28, at Pollock Park. It will be a 1.30pm start.

After two poor results last weekend Waringstown must win both of their fixtures this Saturday and Sunday to maintain their slim title hopes.

First up on Saturday it’s Carrick at The Lawn and the villagers are also at home on Sunday to CIYMS.

They will be boosted by the return of skipper Kyle McCallan.
