Volunteers saught for Saturday morning football

THE Saturday Morning Football initiative organised by Banbridge Rangers is looking for volunteers to help with the sessions as the warmer mornings have seen an increase in numbers.

The programme has been running intermittently since 2009 and is a gives all children of primary school age the opportunity to take part in footballing activities.

The coaching and skills development centre is also actively supported by Banbridge District Council in partnership with Banbridge Rangers Football Club.

This is a great way for young boys and girls to make friends, boost their confidence and learn new skills from as young as P1 and will continue until right through to the summer months.

The sessions start at 10am on Saturday mornings at Havelock Park and cost £2 for the hour.

On Monday nights the Rangers Cubs train at Cheney Park from 6pm and this is also a great way to further develop young children’s interest in sport and football.
