The Lurgan Blues will be aiming to keep the pressure on both Linfield and Cliftonville for that crucial third spot with a win over Warrenpoint Town.

“This is perhaps even harder than our recent games with the Crues and the Blues,” said Hamilton.

“If you look at the recent form over the last few weeks Warrenpoint will be right up there.

“They are fighting for survival so we know it is going to be tough to get a win. They are strong up front with pace and goals in the side and that is a massive threat which we will have to deal with.

“Our own target is to win and over the next four games if we could hit 9 or 10 points or more it would see us go into the split in a strong position.

“The way the Irish Cup has worked out so far there is now a possibility that third place will be enough to secure Europe. You have to look at all the options available and at the minute there are a few.

“However, the key to it all is we have to keep focused and play to our strengths if we are to remain in contention.”

Joel Cooper is suspended for the game but the manager is hoping to have Daniel Kearns and Simon Kelly available again after both missed the cup game last week through illness.

New signing Ian Morris could well find a place on the bench.
