Larne boss Davy McAlinden wasn’t too concerned about his side’s pre-season defeat to Shankill United.
The Inver Reds lost 4-3 away to the Amateur League outfit on Thursday evening, but the manager chose to focus on the benefits of much-needed match time for his squad.
Ciaran Murray and Darren Stuart netted Larne’s goals and there was a first appearance for new keeper Paddy Flood.
Meanwhile, Larne are expected to unveil their new kit for the forthcoming season later today. The Adidas strip is a change from the Hummell gear the team has sported for the past two campaigns.
