Watson hat-trick as BBOB Youth secure fine victory

Lurgan BBOB Youth started brightly and piled the pressure onto Cookstown early on with Dean English and Kris Walker dangerous on the wings.

It took only 15 minutes before Andrew Watson broke the deadlock, converting a Bill Morrow corner. BBOB doubled their lead as Alex Richardson beat the keeper with a drive through the crows. With this lead BBOB began to get complacent and let Cookstown into the game as the hosts grabbed a goal. The partnership of Iain Irwin and Watson kept causing problems and Watson didn’t take long to restore the two goal lead after getting on the end of Irwin’s flick on. Again BBOB took their foot off the gas and allowed Cookstown to bring it to 3-2 at half-time.

Cruising, but holding only a one goal advantage, the Lurgan men knew another goal would kill off the match and Watson completed his hat-trick, controlling the ball brilliantly inside the box and drawing the keeper off his line before beating him with a lob.

Lurgan BBOB thank Noel Hayes for the matchday sponsorship.
