Weather starts to cause havoc

THE weather again caused havoc with the local junior soccer fixtures, only six games were played in the three divisions.

BBOB won’t be complaining after getting a badly needed win at Newbuildings Reserves while in the only other game in the Premier Division, Roe Rovers defeated an out of form Burndennett.

Caw moved to the top of the First Division after a comfortable away win at Foyle Wanderers, while in the Second Division leaders Churchill United had a hard fought win over Limavady Rugby Club Res.

Prediction: City Colts.

Ardmore v Sion

The home side have a team well capable of playing in the Premier Division and as things stand they are in a very good position to get promotion. Damien McGee has some talented players in his side and they could take a Premier Division scalp here.

Sion blow hot and cold however they did knock out the fancied Lincoln Courts in the previous round, this will be tougher.

The visitors are doing alright in the Second Division but they are a bit inconsistent and tend to leak to many goals.

Prediction: Ballykelly.

Dungiven Reserves

v Roe Rovers

Arguably the tie of the round, both sides are having decent seasons and Rovers especially could move into the top four if they win their games in hand, however the home side are a good side and this may need extra time.

Prediction: Dungiven Reserves.

Drummond v Burnfoot

Chris Moore will be glad of the distraction away from the league where his side have been struggling for most of the season, he would like a run in this competition.

Burnfoot will see this as a bit of a derby match and they will be up for it but the home side should get a welcome win.

Prediction: Drummond.
