Wee Whites are in action

The Lisburn Distillery U-10s first game saw a match up with St. Oliver Plunkett and the Wee Whites put in another superb footballing display against a very good Plunkett side.

It wasn’t long before Jack Bonar got his second goal in as many games. Debutant Bradley White had a great first game for the Academy. James Clyde was having another good game and duly got the goal his performance deserved. Plunkett continued to press and scored again despite Matthew Moore playing really well and Xander Power being very safe in the Distillery goal.

The second game at this age group saw the Wee Whites come up against St. Marys. Distillery opened the scoring when great play between Bradley Ingram, Ross White and Jake Donaghy forced the opposition defender to turn the ball into his own net. The second period saw the Wee Whites play very well, and one audacious piece of skill from Jake Donaghy nearly led to another goal before Bradley Ingram and Ross White got their names on the scoresheet. Period three saw Jake and Bradley link up again which led to another goal from Jake. Whites defenders Noah Kelly and Calum Ashby were constantly involved. Their defensive colleague Ben Coulter continued his fine form. The best was saved to last when Jake beat a couple of markers, driving at the defence and finishing confidently.
