‘We’re a match for any team in this league’

Having now scored 11 goals in their last three league outings, confidence is high in the Larne squad - a point taken up by Stuart King, who weighed in with a brace in Saturday’s 5-1 win over Limavady.

“It was a great win and we have continued our great run of form although it wasn’t our best performance of the season,” he said. “The manager has really made a big difference to the side.

“To beat anyone 5-1 at any time is a fantastic result and we knew it would be difficult as Limavady were coming to face us with new faces and a point to prove. We are not world-beaters, but we are a match for any team in the league,” said King.

On his own performance the midfielder added: “The important thing is I am happy and enjoying it and doing well enough to be playing every week. I know I can do better, but I have been weighing in with a few goals which also helps but the manager knows what he will get from me every week. We are training hard and it is showing on Saturdays.”
